Nope.

No tats. Haven’t found a message that I care enough to broadcast my entire life.

Face tats? An indicator of poor life choices.

The OCD in me couldn't contain it anymore. It's too.

It's also what?

Seems to me that face paint that can be here today and gone in a few days would allow greater expression...

Or there are really great masks these days...
Being a Zabrak for a day could be interesting.

First, I love tattoo threads, it's always such a pleasure seeing how many fellow pelicans think poorly of me for having tattoos, and they're always so quick to remind everyone how much better they are for not having them.

Second, you forget you have them. Don't think "I can't think of anything I want to remember for the rest of my life" because after a few weeks, you kinda forget, just like you forget that mole on your left leg or the fact that your eyes are slightly different colors. You just stop noticing, it becomes a part of you as a whole.

It's funny, my wife never had any and never considered it. I went for one, and she decided to get a small one. Someplace hidden? Na, right in the crook of her elbow.

Then, a few months later, a second one. Again, carefully concealed? Na...full forearm, wrist to elbow.

Then a third, again on her other forearm. Jeeze, she's now more hardcore than I am!

They said NO. Everyone has different skin with different levels of light (UV's) making it through. And if you had a tattoo ink that "would be gone by the time you are married" you would get your arse suited off. Some people it would be gone in a year, and others ten years later still have F' You written on thier forehead.

It exists, there's a franchise that tattoos with disappearing ink. It's not 100% perfect, but apparently it's pretty damned impressive.

Also, very VERY expensive.

I had tear drops when I was rough and tough. Due to age and lost of muscles those tear drops have become drool. People hassle me now thinking I am making fun of retarded folks but I am still the same tough killer.

Ah no, not for me but others who want to do so, good on them jsut don't come around asking for a job and if they don't get the job, don't cry discrimination due to poor life choices.

tats don't bother me. I actually think they can be nice and artistic. I'm also all for them if they have meaning.

If I was single, I'd happily date chicks with tats and blue/green/purple hair, it wouldn't bother me one bit.

I don't have one or want one. It's just not my thing, but who cares if someone else has them. I think that you can get them in ways that is not ideal, but that's your choice. THere are plenty of people that are more successful than I am that have them, so that's clearly not completely limiting.

wildthing 12-13-2022 05:49 AM

I wanted to tattoo eyes on my eyelids so I can sleep in class.

Also I'd tattoo a t-shirt so I can walk around shirtless.

Tattoos, facial piercings, and green or bright colored hair are just something I do not understand. Man buns, or goofy haircuts as well. Like so many women now wearing jeans with multiple horizontal rips in the legs in them from new. I simply scratch my head and wonder. It does not compute in my brain. I do not "get" it at all. That is OK.

No tats or extra holes in my body, just my choice. If anyone over age 18 wants them in themselves, go for it. Like the old adage, not my circus, not my monkey. I don't care.

I do 100% understand that a military unit that served together in combat situations getting a company tattoo together. That is a bond outsiders like myself will never have.

The only thing I'd want less than a face tat at 60y is a circumsision!

Nowadays it seems more status quo to have one or ten and be like everyone else.
I just never cared if I fit in or not.

Fads always come and go.

Damned those 5000 year old fads...

The brightly colored hair is a relatively recent thing, although honestly, it's probably been 20 years now.

ripped jeans were in when I was in HS in the 80s, so we're talking about 4 decades.

You are a little bit of an old guy with pretty conventional, conservative standards.

I get it. Don't have one, don't care to but my son has one. Works for me.

However, the ratio to a tattoos that looks well done (never face or neck) to a tattoo Etch-a-Sketch rendering is about 50/50.

I wouldn't let Earl Scheib paint my car, just don't let any random Earl the Tattoo Guy paint you. Take your time and never, as the kids say, "drink and tattoo...no TUI's."

Just my advice.

As a former Navy guy from the 80's into the 2010 time frame, I have seen some unfortunate decisions indelibly stamped.

HobieMarty 12-13-2022 02:13 PM

I don't care if someone has tattoos, I don't because it is just not my thing, that's about it.
