Flew from PHX to JAX and drove to the Amelia. Not sure it was really worth the trip. Good cars, some great cars but overall seemed to be a somewhat curated cars and coffee. The Gene Wiinfield custom sure got my attention though

Been doing Carmel/Monterey car week for a while now and with Concours on the Avenue, which I hope will be back this year, Carmel/Monterey wins.

Jeff owns that car already. It was the first time he saw it completed. Built by the other guy (and his team). David Van Epps at Sondwerks in Cornelius, NC. The interior and rear flares are exquisite on that car. The Oak Green Metallic paint looks pretty amazing too. They are apparently building a couple cars for some other NASCAR drivers too. Cool to see the cross-pollination between domestic professional drivers and the Porsche brand.

That's cool. I took a bunch photos of Jeff and David (if that's the guy in the pic) and give him my card and told him to email me if he want the pictures.

saw it when they put it on the field. Great car, great build. Not over the top, just subtle enough to be cool

Its gone up every year since my first one in 1998 & probably before then. I was told by someone in the inner circle that the main driver of increases are the venues and the people other than Hagerty. In other words, everyone is getting a cut.
