Gotta be a gas to cruise the Interstate in that thing. Dressed in costume, of course.

There is a local Bat-Mobile that is a very accurate to the original TV series one.
Right down to the flaming Turbine.
But neither actually are the the 1st Bat-Mobile, the very first was a Lincoln Continental convertible, top down, Bruce Wayne, top up, The Bat-Man.
Here is the 1st actual purpose built Bat-Mobile.

Now, the one you posted is probably the coolest one ever built, at least that I have seen

^^^ 7 MPG with a 12 gallon gas tank he said.

Batman would need to fill up several times while patrolling Gotham City each night.

Yea, it is not a car for the shy retiring type. If you have lots of time, and like to chat, it is perfect.

It would really suck if you are trying to go somewhere incognito.

Funny how George Barris is credited for building the Batmobile used in the TV series but it was in fact already built and was the Lincoln Futura. Mr Barris didn't have to do too much to the car which was a good thing because he only had 3 weeks to build a car for the TV show. The original car used in the TV series was first used in a film called "It Started With A Kiss" and was painted red for the movie.
