Any unique Christmas gifts received?

Here's mine....
Tried it out already. It's an etched beer pint.
Has my neighborhood and featured roads and lakes...kinda cool.

I can't show you mine, but I can try to describe it.

It was a kiss goodby from one of my twin grandsons as I was leaving their house yesterday. My son was holding him to keep him from going outside. He asked his son if he wanted to give Grandpa a kiss goodby. He leaned over, placed his hand on my shoulder and ever so delicately kissed my cheek. It was so given so lightly I could hardly feel it, but it was there.
I'll remember that for a long time.

Love the glass!

I received a very early RL Winston fly rod in a length/ weight I wanted. Un-fished. (Well, I scored a killer deal and told my wife to give it to me!)

Happily lawn cast yesterday and was very pleased.

I have long been at the point if I want some gizmo, thingamabob or tool, I just get it. Buying me a present it pretty hard. The things I want, no one else is going to buy for me, or it is a "hey, I need that" moment.

My wife is about the same. I got her a full detail and ceramic coating on her Macan, and it looks spectacular, and she does not want to drive it as it will get dirty!.

I think I am getting a scanner for converting my 8mm and super 8 home movies of myself and my brother that my parents shot when we were kids. It will be some really riveting exciting movie time. It scans the film one frame at a time, and puts them into a MPG format movie at HD resolution. It will be a slow tedious project to convert them, but they need to be converted before they fall apart.

I will pick it out, and let my wife buy it as my present.

I received a Shakti mat.

My kids are always looking for something to help me live with my nerve damage. I've only used it twice so far hence no idea what it'll do for me. However, the fact that they're always looking out for me is the best part of the gift.

I think that is true for most all of us on here...esp as one gets older.
The fun is giving or receiving a unique or unexpected gift from friends or family.

I gifted my wife a trail cam so she could observe goings on in our woods. She wanted to see how a deer carcass (we had two end up in our yard in one week from shunts with cars) was taken care of by the scavengers!

I received a tenon saw kit from Bad Axe Tool Works. Now, if I can just find a Stanley 42X Saw Set tool to set the teeth! EBay is not being helpful.

^^^ Thanks Bill...the same right back to you!

The etching doesn't show good until it's full of beer....I can use that as an excuse for the po-po.

I saw it here in a thread a year or so ago - I wish I could give credit to the OP. I just loved the silly thing so I bought it.
