When can I start shooting out my neighbor's Christmas lights?

The big azz inflatable Santas, snow men, Christmas trees... they go first! It's gotten redonkulous theae past few years. Tasteful decorations .... they ain't!

The day after Epiphany is customary. Explosives might be better….

stevej37 01-02-2023 03:45 PM

No fireworks on Saturday night??

You're lucky if not.

flatbutt 01-02-2023 03:47 PM

Actually, during fireworks would have been the perfect time to shoot them out. If you were inclined toward such an action. Not that I recommend such.

A pallet gun should do just fine. Slow leak and they will never think its you. By the time they find the hole (s) it will be next year. Maybe the blame will be on a mouse. Muhahahah. WE don't do Christmas but a few gifts when kids were little. Those big inflatable Santas or whatever drives me nuts. Strangers driving by stopping taking pictures getting in our way. When you politely ask them to move, they give us siht like if they own the fooking the road. Blow it the f up. You ahve my permission from a none gun owner

Yeah .... those inflatables belong in every Nativity Scene too :)!

Sat. night was pretty quiet .... just a few firecrackers ..... 10 munutes late :D

I used to have a neighbor two doors down that put on quite a show several times each year .... for years. Professional grade stuff .... lit up the sky for 30 minutes or more and the percussions were bomb worthy .... he was serious bidness .... of course it was illegal :)

I invited folks over to watch from my deck .... twas a hoot to behold!

KFC911 01-02-2023 03:57 PM

Those inflatables and the lights would be easy peasy with my Diana .177..... three houses worth. Mebbe tomorrow :D?

Wow, shoots pallets? Just the empty wood or do they still have stock on them? Although these days, folks might kill you for the wood in a few pallets considering the new norm in wood prices.

That might be almost as good as a trebuchet! :D

Don’t be such a mean one Mr. Grinch!

Okay ..... I'll just wait until May when they put their Halloween inflatables back out again :)

One house I drove by last week had a huge inflatable that had to be 25' tall ....

Baz 01-02-2023 04:22 PM

Ha - I have some more lights coming tomorrow to put up here.....:D

Hey, I just may have to loan the trebuchet to him. My kid built a working model in my shop back in Jr high school for his history class out of Purple Heart and walnut scraps. He was shooting small rocks and I suppose it will swing out some small chunks of "Pellets" left over form one of my deliveries.

Racerbvd 01-02-2023 05:13 PM

I'd use Roman Candles.

Too easy to trace back to point of ignition.

Built a 6’ tall one with the kids a few years back for fun. Took an afternoon.
Throws a watermelon 150’ with 200lb of weight. Ran out of weights while testing…

But that may be overkill for inflatables.

Well FYI in Denver you leave em up until January 23, 2023. Just a local tradition. Best to you in your neighborhood!

You guys have convinced me that I'm outta line....

I'm now shopping for huge inflatables .... snow men, Santas, Christmas trees, and 4 big ass pumpkins ... to accomodate both Halloween and Thanksgiving. I want them all up by July and if Baz can find me a few pink Flamingos .... they wil be prominent also. These will be year round too .... Merry Thanksgiving neighbors :)!

I've got to plan my light show now .... and audio....

Bing's "White Christmas"? ..... nope ... Chuck's "Run, Run, Rudolph" on repeat play 24x7x365 :)

Check in with Chevy Chase he's got it right.

They go up on the Friday after Thanksgiving and come down on New Year's day. If you have no children, they stay in the garage all year long.
