What's the Targa I've seen on football ads?

They are about some new series that I won't watch, but the older yellow Targa has sure gotten my attention . It's been spray painted like a "lover's revenge car" but it's still cool. Gotta stop trying to read the graffiti and focus on the car .... anyone else? What year is it?

They were in yesterday's games on ABC fwiw...

Any idea what the series is (or is about)?

..
Looks like a mid year with fixed vent windows, so 76-77? Also some questionable modifications to the front bumper bellows and an aftermarket rear bumper.

^^^^ Thanks! The bumpers were throwing me off and I was trying to read the graffiti with the glimpse of it in the ad. The still pic really helps too !

I prefer Targas...I just like my Targas to look a bit less boogered (relatively stock).

These two G-Bodies look pretty good (with the bellows intact).

OK, so lured in by the 911 (it's supposed to be a '73--title character says so in the 3rd episode), Mrs. Noah and I have watched the first few episodes. It's certainly entertaining, as the main character is interesting and a bit flawed. A good show, but not necessarily a great show.

It's a bit like The Mentalist (hero is unusually observant and clever), but not quite as quirky. The Mentalist was better.

On the topic of Targas in video clips, this one is period correct (only need to watch the 10 first seconds, unless you have a thing for aerobic fitness in the eighties…)

I also like how it looks like they masked off the rubber trim below the door before they did the graffiti
