I'm feeling my age here - Seeing the Yardbirds on TV was my first Jeff Beck experienced.

One of my measures for a guitarist is the amount of "production noise" they make while playing. That's the "zip-zoot" noise a guitarist makes when they don't lift their fingers off of the strings completely. JB is one of the cleanest players ever. Yeah, it's a petty thing but it's my petty thing.
He will be missed.

RIP, Jeff Beck.
As with many things, I appreciate his work more now than back in the day. I saw him when he toured with Clapton and SRV. It was an amazing show. His genius cannot be denied.
