Not sure about how costs have increased in the past 15 years or so. Back then, I had my asphalt driveway torn out and replaced with 400 sq ft of concrete. It was a one man shop and he charged me $5500.

Lived here since 2007, always concerned about a car hitting something parked on the street. Try to keep mine on my property, too late.

Doorbell at 0745 this am. Driver owned his mistake, current insurance. Tow and rental already arranged.

So bummed. I really do like this van. 14,446 miles. Dang it.

Yow...that's a lot of damage for a back-out crash. How fast was he going?
So much for the 5 mph bumper.

No, no. He was driving along and lost control.

Said the cherry fell out of his cigarette into his lap. He was trying to put it out and bang.

Prolly going 20-25 at impact. Pushed the van a few feet.

He actually lives behind me a few houses over. But I don't know him.

^^^ That makes sense to me now. I was assuming he lived next door and didn't look to see a car parked there.
The rear door looks maybe twisted?...maybe not.

Was the van in Park?
How do you move a car 'a few feet' with it in park and not hurt the trans?

The apartment complex at my bosses sons house had 15 cars broken into Monday night. Popo said they were looking for guns.

Skid, I expect, cannot produce enough force to hurt the park lock.

Probably no different that getting towed.

Check out some YT of cars being dragged out of a parking spot.

It would be roughly 200 sq feet times 6", ~100 cubic feet of dirt.

There's some guidelines, but dirt weighs differently all over.

The dirt where I live is largely granite pebbles and sand.

Why don't you just get another estimate from another contractor in your area.
Then you would have something to compare too.
Labor rates and materials are different in other states and counties.
