Best Radiohead t-shirt to put in a rememberance quilt

My 34 year old and only son Jeff, passed away four months ago from acute fentanyl toxicity. Four times a lethal dose. Died in the main bedroom of my house a couple hours after I went to bed at 9:00-ish the night before. I was crashed on the couch 20 feet away. No idea he needed help and there was Narcan in the house.

I chose not to mention anything until now for various reasons internal to me. They say it's a very peaceful death. You just stop breathing

I'm stable and one pal says I will get to a point where he's not the first thing I think about when I awake and that's about as good as it gets. It's been a rough and expensive 20 year roller coaster ride but I miss my boy.

My sister and his Mom are collaborating on a hand made quilt with t-shirts, blanket pieces, etc. Jeff loved the group Radiohead. He was a huge fan. I want to get a Radiohead T-shirt for the project but I want advice as to a good one that a Radiohead person would recognize so I'm soliciting your input.

Thanks everybody for listening and for any help you can provide.

So sorry Bob. Love you man, and I am right there suffering with you . It will get a little bit easier every day . I dont think it ever goes away though .
I lost my daughter 8 years ago, and just lost my wife in August . I know where you are at .
I always liked the album cover for Kid A , dont know if you can get that in a shirt or not .
Hey, my doors are open if you need to get out of town and away from your house .
Be kind to yourself .

That.....was hard to read. Gut wrenching and heart breaking all at the same time. So sorry for your loss Bob.
I don't have any input on the Radiohead t-shirt question either. My wife has made numerous quilts out of old t-shirts if any help/input is needed in that regard.

My condolences to you and your family.

I hope you are well, Bob.

After reading your post, I called a friend of mine who was also a huge Radiohead fan from the 1990's starting with Pablo Honey. He was a LT when I was at the Sikorsky Factory as a LCDR.

His recommendation is to get a shirt that doesn't have "Radiohead" spelled out on it.

Something like these:

Other than my condolence, that is all I have.

Oh Bob this just breaks my heart. I'm choking just typing this. I am so sorry that you've suffered such a loss.

When I die Give what’s left of me away
To children And old men that wait to die.
And if you need to cry, Cry for your brother Walking the street beside you.
And when you need me, Put your arms Around anyone And give them What you need to give to me.
I want to leave you something, Something better Than words Or sounds.
Look for me In the people I’ve known Or loved,
And if you cannot give me away,
At least let me live on in your eyes
And not on your mind.
You can love me most
By letting Hands touch hands,
By letting Bodies touch bodies,
And by letting go Of children That need to be free.
Love doesn’t die, People do. So, when all that’s left of me Is love, Give me away.
I’ll see you at home In the earth.

So sorry to hear this, Bob. I’ve said it before and it’s still true…you are one of if not my very favorite person on this forum and I would not wish what you are going through on my least favorite.

I lost a young friend 2 months ago to the same thing and another friend this past week. It’s an epidemic. Both had long periods of sobriety but the addiction waited patiently and came back for them. Both were great guys in every way but suffered from addiction…it’s something that non-addicts never really understand.

Not enough of a Radiohead fan to help with the T-shirt question but my heart breaks for you and your family. If there is anything I can ever do, please reach out to me.

Bob - I’m so sorry for your loss. I can’t even imagine your pain.

I’m going to hug my kids extra tight when I see them next.

My heart goes out to you and your family. The shirt posted by HobieMart would be my choice. Keep sharing your grief, it doesn't have to be here but find an outlet for it.

Sincerely,
Scott
