That’s his brother and my old buddy Stephen Baldwin with him. Alec is kind of a CSer.

I had a dealer in AZ ask for our 850R wagon in white, probably around 1995-1997. It was a red hot car at the time, and it was for Stephen. I said okay, under one condition- that he sign an 8x10 head shot to my girlfriend's daughter. The AZ dealer said Stephen chuckled and said "sure." My girlfriend's daughter was too young to appreciate it, though. We got a black one back, which was fine for the bay area.

he trusted the armourer - this is standard protocol. period.

Yet he saw fit to pull the trigger without the armorer in the building. Seems a movie producer would know better. Now an innocent woman is dead and Alec walks to dinner with a smile.

This is the part everyone keeps forgetting. The armorer was not on the set when this happened. They violated their own safety protocols.

Never quite understood the accusations aimed at AB.
Example- if a prop was a zip line, and the actor is supposed to push a stunt person off a building. Is the actor supposed to inspect the zip line?

If you were that actor, and the person responsible for safely rigging that zip line were not on the set, you did not see that person rig it, and some assistant director told you "go ahead, it's fine", would you? I guess some would, since they are pushing someone else. But would you go yourself?

Again, if you showed up on the set to see the airbag in place, but the guy responsible for it was not there at the time, and some assistant director told you to go ahead and push that stuntman because he thought it was safe, would you? Again, some probably would, but would you jump yourself?

In Baldwin's case, the armorer was not on the set. An assistant director handed him the gun and told him it was safe. Baldwin then pointed it at another person, cocked the hammer, and pulled the trigger. Some people would do that. But, with the context I outlined above, this bears asking - if the scene had called for him to cock the hammer, hold it up to his own head, and pull the trigger - would he have done that?

Way, way too many. This would not be an issue if they had real "prop" guns that were disabled from actually firing a projectile. It is unfathomable to me that an industry as rich as the film industry cannot "afford" to design and produce such a thing. The fact that they use real firearms, in no way disabled from actually firing a real round, is inexcusable.

Alec Baldwin's latest 'Words of Wisdom' :(

Would have to agree that in large we are uninformed. But only about the stuff he thinks takes precedent over things we think are more important.

This is a by product of privilege.

Otherwise we'd (and he'd) be more concerned that over 70% of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck.....

HobieMarty 11-25-2024 02:34 PM

Alec Baldwin definitely does not live in the "real" world.

One of the main reasons I hardly ever go to the movies is the wacko movie makers and actors. I don’t want to support Hollywood. My 2˘.

What makes you scoff at that?

After the judge dismissed criminal charges against her husband, Baldwin's wife, Hilaria Baldwin, was seen crying in the courtroom. “Beyond the victims themselves, the thing that most pains me is what it did to my wife. My wife has been very, very traumatized from this,” Baldwin told Variety at the film festival.

“There has been a lot of pain. When you are married to somebody and everything was going fairly well and we had seven kids … and the floor falls out. It’s very frightening and very disturbing,” the actor added.

...“So we go to Montana. We finish … And I waived my fee. I gave them back the fee in the budget. I waived all my backend. I gave everything to her husband,” Baldwin added, although this has yet to be confirmed by Halyna Hutchins' husband, Matthew.

“And I hope the movie is sold, and that he gets his money. We all made a deal with him and we all want to follow through," Baldwin added. "But this idea that people — who shall remain nameless — say, ‘You are profiting from this!’ That is absolutely wrong."

stevej37 12-01-2024 09:18 AM

^^^ I believe his wife was traumatized....I just thought he should have said more about the family of Halyna being traumatized. Maybe he did and it wasn't recorded.

Steve Carlton 12-01-2024 09:23 AM

He prefaced his remark with "Beyond the victims themselves, the thing that most pains me is what it did to my wife." I think it would have been inappropriate for Alec to comment on the Hutchins' family trauma, as he probably didn't have any first-hand knowledge.

Tobra 12-01-2024 09:27 AM

Seemstomehe has a history of domestic abuse. His feigned concern for his wife rings hollow

HobieMarty 12-01-2024 09:30 AM

Geez, so his wife was traumatized because of the feeling of dread of losing everything and having her little bubble world come crashing down. What about the family of the woman who was shot? Pretty sure they are traumatized as well.
Ya know, with a name like "Hilaria" you would think she'd be happier. [emoji23]

Alec Baldwin sues for malicious prosecution after judge dismissed case of fatal Rust set shooting.

Wow, this guy has a cheek. He should be in jail not playing the victim card.

sc_rufctr 01-09-2025 09:55 PM

That's not surprising for Baldwin... All he had to do is get on with his life.

Crowbob 01-09-2025 11:28 PM

Let’s see if Baldwin’s outrage at the ‘malice and injustice’ carries over to the thousands and thousands of destroyed lives in California.

One would think, in that light, Baldwin would just STFU and be thankful for what he is still able to enjoy.

rfuerst911sc 01-10-2025 07:32 AM

AB should just shut up and be thankful he's not sitting in jail/prison .

john70t 01-10-2025 09:03 AM

He told cops that he didn't pull the trigger.
("In other news, today a gun shot someone")
The weapon was examined by qualified individuals and found not to be faulty.

Isn't lying to LE supposed to be a crime?
