RIP David Crosby. 81.

I don't think he ever ended up cutting his hair!

RIP ... he lived large and was integral to the music of that era.

I can still remember walking to the record store in Athens, OH buying DejaVu and On the Threshold of a Dream. That was a good day.

If you haven’t seen Echo in the Canyon about the early days of the alternative (at that time) LA music scene it is worth a watch. Buffalo Springfield, Joni, CSN, Frank Zappa, Mammas and Pappas great look at that era

And a lot to put up with during his time. I hope he finds peace now. Because if he don't, I sure as hell won't.

JavaBrewer 01-19-2023 03:56 PM

RIP. I know nothing about him as a person but the music left behind, with his collective, lives in me going forward.

Highly recommend watching. My generation is passing on. I'm feeling my age.

Rtrorkt 01-19-2023 04:21 PM

that is a great read. Maybe I will put on CSN, Joni, New Riders, Buffalo Springfield and a bit of the Mammas and Pappas and find the herb

Steve Carlton 01-19-2023 04:26 PM

Echo in the Canyon sounds like a great idea! Time to see it again. I just bought a ticket to see Graham Nash in Berkeley in July and I'm sure he'll tell some stories. I saw him a few months ago and he hasn't lost a step and puts on a great show.

Rot 911 01-19-2023 04:34 PM

Playing some on the turntable right now.
