Funny Games People Play?

Okay so I was on my way to the automotive section at the local Wallyworld and passing an aisle, these caught my eye. I thought they sounded funny and a little interesting.

There is a surprisingly large subculture of folks that play "card games".

Many of us have probably heard of "Magic" which is short for "Magic the Gathering" which I think is kind of DnD-ish, but mostly card based.

Don't forget "Pokemon." That's another one that is mostly card based (besides the phone game) and is alive and kicking. My 6yo grandson is all about the pokemon cards.

THere's a ton of other stuff that's not nearly as well known.

It could be worse than folks sitting around playing cards. At least they aren't sitting in the same room texting each other.

Cards Against Humanity can be enormous fun...if you have friends who can laugh at very twisted humor.

Don't play with your kids.

Ha! My son introduced the game to us.

I've played it with my kids as they hit late teens/early 20s. They get embarrassed a lot easier than I do.

Exploding Kittens is actually a lot fun - and I don’t generally even like playing games.

We're not a game family - but with a 9yo perhaps this is an interesting path. BTW is this the Oatmeal dude? Love his stuff...

She has little interest in jigsaw puzzles so maybe this might be cooler than more never ending hours of the 'tube.

Don't let your condescing brother drink and play on a team against your boss' wife.

If he must, especially suggest to him not to say "You're out of your league" to her in her house based on a response she gives.

Cards Against Humanity is hilarious (but for adult audiences).

Exploding Kittens is a blast! (Pun intended.)

Another great card game is FLUXX - There are various versions/themes. I've played the Pirate themed version a bit and it's also fun.

Cone of Shame!

These all look brilliant! And, I typically despise board games.

Our kids have throw throw burrito and exploding family friendly editions). These are pretty fun to play.

Throw throw usually ends in a fight after a duel…

Board / card games are still a huge deal.

We thought Cards Against Humanity Star Wars Edition would be family friendly.

We got one card in, switched to Uno.
