Rural king tractors

Anyone have anything negative to say about them?
I'm looking at the 74hp model with bucket. At 40k out the door with no hidden fees or surprises.

Only concern is the deutz 2.9 tcd engine. Common rail has some expensive parts....

Want me to keep my eye out for a tractor for ya? I normally just delete them when I get a trade in appraisal request.

Just curious, what's your primary use going to be for it? You mention it having a loader. Are you planning some 3pt attachments too?

I think you can buy a Kubota M7060 for that money. My first new tractor was a 2013 M7060 and it was a great machine. I upgraded to a M5-111 after the dealer left an oil line off doing a recall. They installed a new engine in my 600 hour machine and I traded it in.

A tractor is only as good as the service at the local dealer. That being said, I won’t use the local idiots after the incident.

Gonna give ya a little tip. Look up machinefinder.com It's a JD website where JD dealers list their used inventory. You might find a deal there. Depends on whether the used tractor market is as hot as the used skid steer market though.

Local kubota are a chain owned by lds, and complete morons/ cocky when i order parts for my l2350. Easier. faster. cheaper. to go through a real dealer online.

I think you mean any tractor is as good as its service. Dealer is just the extra part where they make you grab your ankles.....

As for the rural king to take advantage of some state kick backs. It has to be new or two year off lease. Cheaper just to get a new machine. I have a new Holland tc 30 and the kubota l2350. Just need something bigger to prep land with, and set up rows.

What is a new M7060 worth these days? I think I paid $56000 CAD for mine in 2013. Mine was the fully loaded 12spd with luxury cab, etc.

I gotta imagine that would deal right now given Covid, etc.

The rk74 is 39,999.00 and not a penny more. Similar models by NH, Case, Kubota, are at least 10k more.

I'm not sure on the deutz engine. Germans make a good diesel engine, just expensive when they break. But to meet emissions everyone has gone to common rail. The rk74 doesn't have a dpf, so that's a plus. I'll give the local rural king a call.

Hope the tractors are better than the website.

NH, Case, LS, and the old Bobcat tractors are all made in Korea by LS.

Kioti and TYM may be the same company as both make the same claim that they are the largest Korean tractor manufacturer. These RK machines are TYM machines.

Kubota is made in Japan by Kubota.

Massey is made in Japan.

That size John Deere would be made by Deere in India (5075E).

Mahindra has been around for a long time. They are made in India and pretty cheap.

Personally, I would pony up the $5000-$10000 extra for the Kubota as it will be worth $20,000-30,000 more that an off brand Korean tractor when you go to sell it.

YMMV.

With depreciation of new equipment. It's not like a car, but more like machinery. End of life in 8 years means get a new, or keep until it stops.

Hmm so send my cash to an out sourced tractor from Korea, or India... India won't ever see my hard earned cash. Lol

I still like the kubota. Reliable, and all Japanese product. But German diesel....

Where I live a new tractor is always worth what you paid for it, it seems. There is a small depreciation for the first couple years but as prices rise, so does the value of your used machine.

A new Kubota better last 30+ years. A Deere will (this has yet to be seen with the India made ones).

Update. I bought the 74 hp rural king tym tractor.
With a kioti dealer somewhat local and being able to cross reference all filters to baldwin. I pulled trigger on it. Why? My stubbornness not to deal with the local Brigham kubota dealer that did not want to bargain. The purchase was simple. Paid at the cash register, and given the keys.

Cool. Enjoy it.

I also will not deal with my local Kubota dealer after they left an oil line off on a recall service that lead to a seized engine at 600 hours...

I lawyered up, got a new engine installed and traded it in on a M5-111 at a different dealer. Kubota Canada facilitated that transaction and made it pretty easy for me. I spoke with the president of Kubota Canada before I bought the new machine and got his apology over the initial experience.
