When Fridge Perry lines up for the Bears as a rookie he was like one of two lineman over 300lbs in the NFL. Today I doubt there are OLs under 300. Sure there are guys in the past that could compete especially as they would benefit from modern training but ..... time passes.

While watching the NFL it’s easy to forget these days are freakish giants in superb condition for what their jobs are.

When the refs, coaches or media talking heads stand next to these guys it becomes obvious just how huge they are. I worked with a guy who went as far as the combine but got blown away by the competition and he was huge, quick and smart, too.

Paul, when you had an 80 mph fastball, most folks don't realize ... that was FAST . Most of us have no idea how weak, slow, gravity-bound, and underskilled we are .... and dumb if the sport is chess .

I needed three hands to catch a football .... they use one .
