I'd actually go for the VW, as I think I'm too tall for the Ferrari and I've never liked the 3*8 models. If $90k could get me into the 612 Scag, it'd be a different story.

I all most bought a used vw with a lot more miles like 150k
but remember the BBS wheels 4v motor and the seats the guy had a MB for 1500 that needed to much work that I was looking at and a vw gti I think he wanted 2700 for I offered 2k but he counter at 2.5k so I passed |

Since this experiment involves getting either option for free, it's an easy choice of the 308. The money goes into an account to pay for service that I can't do myself. I can then drive the hell out of the car, like that guy who's driven his up the Alcan to the Arctic circle and just about everywhere else in North America.
