This is a good way to possibly get a foot cut off. The metal saw blades are made of doesn't stand up under that kind of use. I found that out using saw blades on my big Huskvarna brush whacker. I had some extra, 7 in. saw blades and decided to use them for brush & weeds. I found out the blades developed cracks after a short time and would have probably disintegrated after too much more use. The blades that are sold for that use are fine, though.

^^^ I can't see how they would work good...no air lift in a straight blade.
My JD would need three 17" circular saw blades.:)
