I saw a documentary on how they filmed the tornado scene in the 1930s with just special effects and no computer editing. It was pretty amazing for the day. My mom said she started crying when the movie went from B&W to color as she had never seen a movie in color and was overwhelmed with emotion.

+1 on your Mom's emotions. That had to have been a powerful moment that she remembered her whole life.

I remember in 1960 (for me) when that bee-otch threw the fireballs off of that house and started the scarecrow on fire.

I did not care for that one bit.

The flying monkeys used to scare the **** out of me when I was a little kid.
