I understand why the RR can't stop in time...weight/speed/momentum.

But why do they never even slow down to check on casualties after the collision?

They stop, Steve... every time, because an investigation has to take place before they move on... it's just that in a video that ends abruptly like that you never see it stop.

It can take a typical freight moving at 35-60 MPH up to a mile to come to a complete stop. Can you imagine the tonnage that has to be brought down to a stop if a freight has 50+ fully loaded cars in tow?
