Unobtanium might be cheaper. But that might also be magnetic, which could lead to disaster.

What?!?!

We do use titanium and beryllium hand tools, but they are very soft and very expensive. I think the biggest socket I ever used was maybe 7/8"-ish.

Titanium copper looks a bit like Berryllium copper which we used to use alot for downhole applications. Magic properties: high yield, high electrical conductivity, magnetically transparent, high toughness and elongation, corrosion resistant, and fantastic lubricity and galling resistance.
Unfortunately Be is toxic so nobody wants to deal with the QHSE so its largely been replaced by copper nickle tin alloys. I have seen copper titanium alloys for magnetic sensing tools downhole but not that familiar with it, seems advertised for similar properties. 45k seems crazy even if made one at a time by EDM

Here is my guess, that is a Indian company and they are priced in Indian Rupee. $1 us =$82.6 Rupee so that socket is only about $500us, quite the deal. When ordering grab some extra 10mm sockets.

The company is located in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, so maybe it is in USD.
If so, and you need all these properties for the socket, you would need a ratchet with the same properties. How much is that going to cost?

I just looked at the Zoro company to see where they are located.
Before I even finished typing my last response, an ad for the product popped up in my feed. ![]() The internet algorithms have already reached the singularity. We are all doomed.
