UFOs are political, or are they religious?

![]() UFOs are like flat earth, moon landing hoaxes, bigfoot, Loch Ness monster or ghosts. Not one tiny speck of real tangible evidence, not one hair, bone, or any artifact at all, except blurry videos and photos. Just something for late night radio to talk about the vast government consistency coverup. The same government that can't keep a secret right now, well except the customer list of the Jeffrey Epstein island. The only person convicted of trafficking and no customers ever mentioned is in jail.

Well, of course this guy is promoting UFOs as originating from an extraterrestrial source...his major claim to fame is being a "ufologist" who produces "documentaries" on the subject

i enjoy a good conspiracy theory, but really more as entertainment than anything to do with truth. typically these things would not take much to confirm or disprove. the notion that there is free energy is one such idea, super easy to prove if true. very easy to disprove.
my personal favorite entertainment conspiracy theories are typically the apollo 18/19/20. all of course are insane, but they sure are fun. humans love a good story, and aliens is a very fun story. Last edited by cockerpunk; 02-28-2023 at 11:30 AM.. |

Greer is an interesting guy. He tells a good story.
He even has as the patois of government down. Then said that he holds his own clearances. I stopped there. |

The closest star is faint little point in the skies and is Proxima Centauri at only 4.24 light years away.
It’s difficult to conceptualize such vast distances, but a popular analogy sets the Sun at the size of a grapefruit. If you wanted to get from your grapefruit-sized Sun to a grapefruit-sized Alpha Centauri system, you would have to travel about 2,500 miles, which is about the distance from coast to coast on the continental United States. And that’s just to the Sun’s closest neighbor! One light year is very roughly 6 TRILLION miles, so just 28 Trillion miles and that is just the closest star. Most likely the closest intelligent life is going to he hundreds of light years away. Why would any life form travel billions of trillions of miles to come shove probes up Bubba and Skeeters butt out in the woods, but not say hello to the Earth. Don't they have a MRI, X rays and CT scans? And why come at all? There are literally countless worlds out there. Nothing super special about our little world. There are billions just like it most likely. Yea, I really hope I live long enough to see any real proof of extraterrestrial life, even bacteria. Intelligent life will be kinda scary. If they can travel the interstellar distances we will seem very quaint and backwards. I sure hope they are like Star Trek and just want to help.

The guy says Tic Tacs are ours...which is about right.
The US govt has stone walled UFO's since 48..why the change of heart now? Unless of course they want it to be known..and are false flagging them... So when China steps outa line...they get hit with UFO's from outer space..and the aliens get the blame...

ok well Im not really asking everyone if they believe in aliens. I certainly do because our own existence is all the proof I need to be convinced that anything at all is possible, including God and including aliens...
What I was curious was if any of you follow Greer and if so, what do you think about his allegations, none of which that I have heard have anything to do with probing Bubba or Skeeter's butt.... He seems to have quite a bit of documentation etc....backing up some of what he says. But, I do not know the actual circumstances of the 3 team members that were allegedly assassinated in the 90s and havent watched any of his documentaries or followed up on the FBI website to verify the documents her refers to etc..... I know I should know better but the fact that Shawn Ryan had him on gave at least an appearance of legitimacy to Greer. However, it is also obvious that this episode is turning out to be his most watched which I am sure is what Ryan was hoping for...Obviously being an ex Navy Seal, CIA contractor doesnt guarantee integrity but its far better than the usual UFO sources

I have, and I promise not to recap, two encounters with UFOs.
One was prolonged and I was flying with two other guys. My point is I have no issue with the concept, but he veers off into using terms I am not comfortable with. I may watch the rest. |

The US govt hasnt stone-walled anything because the US govt has no idea what is going because the shadow govt running the operation is not the US govt that you are referring to --- according to Greer the recent development regarding the whistleblowers is I assume what you are referring to regarding a change of heart....Not sure why now but Greer seems to be taking credit for it since his organization was created to achieve this goal..... theres really too many interesting connections to just write the guy off as a nut but in the end I wouldnt be surprised if its all BS

the problem with conspiracy theories in general, is that every "secret" ive ever been dealt in on, is way easier/dumber/more basic, than anyone would have suspected. and i work on a nationalized technology, ie we cannot teach some people what we are doing because of national security issues. we've worked with DARPA, some defense applications, etc. i dont want that to seem dramatic, its not.
and every secret i've learned in 15 years doing this ... is dumb. like its a secret because its dumb. some of these secrets we make hundreds of millions of dollars a year on. and they are dumb. like disappointingly dumb. like "seriously? its that simple?" so i really, really doubt any conspiracy that relies on secrets and being some kind of super complexity or super intelligence. the reality of the world is that people are dumb. management systems are incompetent. secrets are secrets because they are so simple. anything that relies on super intellect, super competence, competent management etc ... just doesn't exist. |

According to Greer, he doesnt peddle conspiracy theories.
personally, I reserve judgment regarding whether or not he is a nut until after I have seen and read everything I can and even then, I must acknowledge that I can never prove the truth and veracity of a high percentage of his evidence that he offers to substantiate his claims....eventually the truth will come out but I will likely only really believe it when I see real proof (an alien) with my own eyes. If there is anything about Greer's story that is interesting it is the allegation of the shadow government working for 75 years, possibly more.....he makes this reference to Rumsfelds assertion days before 9/11 of some $2 billion or trillion..whatever he said... missing from the defense budget and suggests that is obviously $$ that gets funneled to this shadow government. Certainly Rumsfeld is on video referring to the missing money, but do I really believe that the money went to a shadow government? I dont know. Maybe. This is beyond the reality you or I exist in no matter what your job is I think Quote:

it doesn't matter what he labels it. the notion there is a secret government and science projects running for 75+ years to suppress, but still develop a totally unknown, undetected branch of science ... is a conspiracy theory.
that's what it is. doesn't matter what Greer calls it. thats what it is. its a conspiracy. trillions wasted by the DoD doesn't need to involve these things. capitalists suppressing innovation is nothing new either. the simplest solution is usually the right one. for example, this guy openly says he has no idea how these devices work, but they are supposedly super simple for hundreds of people to have invented, and be able to build. for 30+ years? during that time, you didn't take a couple of electrical engineering classes to understand how it works? "i can't make a toaster?" really? you learned to be a doctor, you can't take a couple of classes to figure this one out? if these are so simple, and he knows so much about them ... why dont you do it? |

I know one acquaintance that buys a lot of the UFO stuff and he is convinced the Lizard people are actually running our government, and they eat human babies as their meals. And he really truly believes that.
He orders books and gets articles that keep claiming to be the real proof, yet all of them seem to come up short of the real thing. I have no doubt there are some very powerful people deep into the swamp that have a lot of control over the government. I don't buy there is an entire shadow government.
