Racing at Sebring with InternationalGT VIDEO link
Hi!
As some of you know, I swapped the Porsche race cars for an Audi R8 LMS GT3. Well we had a great weekend at Sebring (last weekend) and I have uploaded the broadcast from the sprint races. My teammate and I finished 1 and 2nd in every race! i got the 2 sprints and he got the enduro. Check out the videos here (you might have to skip some of the introduction time until you get to the racing proper!). Enjoy! Juan Race 1: Race 2:

Watched a stream, congrats! I thought your cars looked familiar, but I couldn't place the Pelican.
It wasn't even close.

Totally different dynamics to the GT3Rs I was racing before. Lap times are similar (comparing me vs me) but how you get the same time is different. If you went to the Classic 24 you saw us there.

I was very close to all four days of racing, and have to congratulate you. You guys we're fast all weekend, and put a serious hurting on 45 or so Porsches and maybe a Ferrari or two. I was wondering if those Audi's were all-wheel drive or not?

56 Porsches and 1 Ferrari!
They are 2 wheel drive LMS GT3 cars in FIA GT3 Spec as homologated. #7 is a 2015 and #8 (mine) is a 2016. These were originally raced by Stevenson Motorsports in IMSA.

Haha, I wasn't counting the second group. Do you guys think you had anything for that blue mustang in the Sprint race? If it had gone the distance...
Also I'm thinking that was a tube frame car? |

That is a tube frame car with (if I remember his comments correctly) 3 to 400 hp more than our cars and 600lbs less. What a beast of a car! Also, very well driven by a pro driver. I was not expecting it to beat us to turn 1. I let the Orange tube frame Vette by on T3 and had him by T10 since the brakes are no match to their speed. That particular race ended in a red flag due to a serious incident on T7 (the safety pin) which required cutting up the car to extricate the driver. I have asked about his condition with no feedback. That sprint race (group 10) presented a different challenge as there were many different tire compounds being raced and the track was not as predictable as under IGT where we all race spec Pirelli slicks. I was looking forward to a complete session with the TA cars to see how the cars and drivers compared. Hope you had fun! Now you know its a Pelican behind the wheel, stop and introduce yourself next time!

I thought the sprint race is where some of the most entertaining racing was going on. Practice was also entertaining with so many different type cars. It was interesting to see who was fastest, and who was passing who.
When I saw the mustang come around turn five in the lead, the only thing I could think is he had more torque/horse power and jumped you guys on the start. Thanks for the invite! I'll stop in at WGI. Check pm for more info. |

Sebring is much more fun to race at than I expected. Sure, it's flat and rough, but it flows... I've only raced there twice but had the full experience - everything from hot, mid-day racing to racing at night in the rain. Road Atlanta is still my favorite, though - that's a "big boy" track.

Road Atlanta looks simple to master but it aint. T1, 3, esses and T12 are very challenging and rewarding. T12 is the one turn that separates the good from the great. Braking for 10A is cool. Road Atlanta, Sebring and The Glen are my favorites so far. My ideal track would be a combination of those 3.
