It could be anything.. (a couple movies) Just finished the 1970 Italian "Investigation of a citizen above suspicion" and noticed the plot similarities to the 2000 "American Psycho" movie. I think most know that "the Magnificent Seven" is rooted in "the seven samurai".
Somewhat less known because it's opera is the musical "Rent" being based on "La Boheme".
