Microsoft Surface question
Its a Surface Go-2 has only one USB-C port.
I'm trying to control a Creality laser engraver directly with my Surface. However connection the laser engraver to my Surface isn't working out.. The software is looking for the USB connection to be Com3. The Surface doesn't see the laser engraver If I connect the engraver to my desktop machine.. (USB-C) everything works... How can, or can the USB-C configured to appear as COM3? I've used Device Manager and added Ports... but no joy

What sort of adapter?
I'm just a little puzzled since my desktop PC sees the Creality , but my Surface doesn't... Both are running the same release of Win11
