What to Use - Remove Burnt oil from Stainless Headers

On my 911 build have B&B polished stainless headers / heater boxes. 1 v/c started seeping, I'll use some gum cutter to get the excess off, but what then?

Anyone run into this problem? I have different types of metal polish and a few buff wheels with my drill.

Barkeepers friend seems to work better than any other metal polish but soft scrub and bleach might be the ticket

Something we use at work on brushed stainless: Simple Green with those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers - Takes some elbow grease, but doesn't scratch the stainless.

Is there still actual crusty oil on there, or just smooth stained metal? If crusty oil, then get a scotchbright flap disk for your angle grinder and go to town, you'll get a nice brushed finish on the headers as well.

Super Clean!!!
After fixing the oil leak from the engine in our Nissan Quest I put the vehicle on my ramps and got under there with some Super Clean in a spray bottle and soaked the underside of the vehicle and the engine where I could see any oily grime wetness and buildup. I let the stuff soak for a while and then hosed it all off. It did the trick.

Some dry Ice shops have some tools to work on exhaust systems. Maybe check with them?
