Interested in finding out your life expectancy?
Try this link out from John Hancock Insurance Co. I’ve got another 29 years to go!
https://www.johnhancockinsurance.com/life-expectancy-calculator.html |
I’m scheduled to hit 94 years old- no mention of that’s with or without diapers!
|
97? Shee-it no man in my family has ever made it past 85.
|
It wouldn't let me past 'continue' so I guess I'm about dead.
|
89 here. Guess I don’t exercise enough…or perhaps it’s a daily beer or two setting me back.
|
i've got about 16 1/2 years to go when I'll check out at 97 - supposedly.

same here...at driver violations, it froze up. |
Keep trying. Happened to me too at first.
|
Looks like I'm dying young. Only 87.
How soon before a John Hancock agent is knocking on my door trying to sell me a policy? |
froze up again...at the weight part.
I'll try again tomorrow....if I make it that far.:) |
Say's 88 for me . That's 23 years from now I will take it 😋
|
I got 95 which is pure rubbish. For the last 10+ years I've said 150 years old is my goal. My diet and activity level and genetics will be get me to 100. At 55 now, I've got 45 years of science to get me from 100 to 150. Looking forward to it, there's so much more to do in life!
|
I've already lived past 40, which if anyone knew me prior would agree was a miracle. I'll be 64 in October, don't feel it or look it ......yet

I use a life expectancy calculator for work every day. The worst is looking at how many weeks you have left. Dont procrastinate
This is a good one https://www.constangy.com/resources-workerscomp |

If you could know the exact hour of your death, would you want to know?
|
-^^^ Absolutely

I’m buying the farm at 96….as an aside, I served aboard the USS Hancock CVA19 from 1966-1969. Three cruises to Nam. She was known as the big “Hanna”.

That's exactly my thinking/hoping. |
Good question, Super.
A decade left? Not so sure I want that many, the direction the nation is headed. |
Calculator tells me I'm going to live until 96 years of age. That's too long. I figure the calculator has given me free reign to increase my drinking and traffic violations...
|
I'm in the life insurance biz. I don't often deal with anyone outside the 55-80 demographic. AZ has a ton of great life insurance company competition. But the pricing is generally based on your face amount divided by the monthly premium. That's how many months they figure they'll collect from you before they have to pay out. Ballpark is 13-15 years. Cancel or lapse before that and you're no longer their problem. Not too many folks start a policy in their 60s or 70s and keep it more than a few years. So the companies do pretty well.

"At birth, a male child may expect to live to age 76 but at age 75, instead of turning to dust, a man can expect to live to age 86. If he makes it to 86, he can expect to live to 91. If he makes it to 91, he may live to 94. The age where a person has an approximately 50% chance of dying in that year is 108. Why we live longer has a lot to do with the social determinants of health and access to the best medical care. People who die before age 75 are usually the victims of trauma or a variety of illnesses or just bad luck. The population of survivors beyond age 75 are a smaller, but more resilient, group."

I guess I don't win. |
The whole moving violation thing is sorta dumb to me. Ask me what kind of car I drive. THAT is probably a much bigger indicator of life expectancy. Never getting a ticket while driving a '73 Pinto is WAAAY riskier that getting a ticket for doing 80 in a 70 in a 2019 Cayenne.
|
I ride a pretty quick bike and am probably 10x more likely to die on it than in a car. But I've never gotten a ticket on the bike. So what could go wrong?
|
My expiration date was somewhere back in the 80s :D.
|
I think genetics also plays a huge role which is not addressed at all in the quiz. My Mom (didn't drink, didn't smoke, thin) dropped dead at 50 from a heart attack. Grandfather (her Dad) at 60. This was decades ago, so no vax issues. Not sure how big of a role that plays (for my sake, I hope not a lot!), but I have to think it's a sizable factor that can't all be undone with healthy lifestyle choices.
