I'm guessing it does.
It's asking for a high temp warning that can be set from 77F to 199F

I'll prob just set it to something like 140F.....no idea if that's good.
Living in MI...I have never worried about tire air temperature.

According to the details listed on Amazon, they will alarm for tire temperature. I'm assuming it's the temp of the air inside the tires that it alarms on?

I can't imagine that the temp sensor/alerting is not terribly accurate.

If I drive over a campfire....it will alert me to that...that's worth the $50 right there.

It has to be the air...the sensor doesn't have any contact with the tire. Just my guess.
But what good is that??

The furthest one to the right...M7-3 is the one I have.

I guess it depends on how you're driving. I would think that would be safe for a street car unless you're doing a lot of burn outs.

I tend to focus more on getting the tires used most at a given track into their optimum operating temperature range. For most high-performance street tires, DOT track tires, and racing slicks, this is in the 160-220-degree-F range, though many street tires and some DOT semislicks still work well at temps as cool as 140-160 degrees F. It's also important to aim for slightly higher temps on the inner shoulder of the tire, as this maximizes cornering grip. Most tire engineers I've spoken with aim for 10-20 degrees F higher on the inner shoulder, depending on the tire compound and chassis setup in use.

The Prelude is settling into it's retirement years. I rarely use the nitrous anymore.
When I do..it's only for a few seconds, not enough to over-heat the tire air.

Plus..the price of nitrous is sky high now.
