It was aggravating when the commentator kept saying "Porsh" but I stopped watching after he referred to a 964 as a "nine hundred and sixty four Porsh".

Yea, that commentator is an idiot, and kept showing some of the same ones over and over and over.

The commentator is a computer. Its just reading the script. Too many videos have this these days.

I think that may be some sort of artificial intelligence providing the narration.

Exactly. No person was reading/speaking the text of the video. It was all computer based, hence the "nine hundred sixty four" and any other silly pronunciation issues.

THis video (and most on YT these days) is all about getting hits and making money. YT content has gone downhill in the past few years between one video going viral and 10,000 others copying the same video onto their "channel" and so many channels and videos that are AI narration based with little to no actual value.

True. Although YT university is still viable, most of the feed is not geared to sharing knowledge or even entertaining in a genuine way. I've more or less quit producing antiques repair videos because it's too complicated for 99.9% of the viewing population.
Plus, it takes 8 hours to make a 20 minute video of a project.

Might as well pile on. I posted this complaint before but YouTube can be a great resource for DIY types but the monetizing of it has made that a struggle.

Rather than here’s step 1, 2 and 3 and you’re done, I have to fast forward through an intro, video of their dog, a ‘cute’ story about something completely unrelated, etc.

I have been completely fooled by some of the script reading applications. Only until a very midwest US accent mispronounces something common like Chicago do I pick up on it.

Okay..time to go back to Mustangs at car & coffee events. Everybody knows that Porsches don't have "ran out of talent" owners...only Mustangs.

And that intro will certainly contain an overpowering, yet obnoxious, guitar riff.

Weird, I've never heard that before. It happens in every make, even low powered 4 bangers. But you have to admit that the occurrence of mustang/porsche issues (which is a model/make comparison) is probably at least 100:1 if not double, quintuple or 10x that amount.

Certainly...hellofa lot more Mustangs produced...probably the %age of "ran out of talent" drivers is similar..

A large portfolio doesn't guarantee driving skills .

My initial thought was "absolutely" but then as I thought about it more, I realized that might not be the case. It's probably not night/day different, but I suspect there are far more young drivers in mustangs, and while anyone at any age can believe they are better than they are and have bad judgement, I do think young folks are more likely to do something stupid than older guys. Not that older guys don't, but it's probably less.

You could be right...stupid kids. Probably more stupid working class kids than rich kids whos parents are dumb enough to let their kids drive a Porsche. Our daughter never drove my Porsche. I'm as sure of that as I can be because I doubt either she or any of her boyfriends could figure out a removed distributor rotor.
