Also...thanks to Flat Six for guiding me in the right direction.

I was planning on sighting it in today....except it's snowing and windy. The ground is covered already.
The good thing is that with the borescope, I don't shoot the gun. I have a slider window with a tree about 30ft away that I could use, but the wind drops the temp inside quickly with it open. I might just sight it in inside from the dining room to the other side of the living room....about 28 feet max. for now. |
Did it indoors.
The red dot was off about 5 inches from the borescope red dot. Turned both adjustments until the dots were one...it's done. I may do it again outside when it dries out. Most shots will be a little longer than 28 feet. |

Yeah, I will need to figure at least 25-30 yards for most shots. I will need outdoors for that adjusting.
My yard has is becoming over-run with the little red squirrels. Their body length is only about 4 inches...so they are hard to hit. And they only sit still for about 2 seconds at a time, so the shot has to be taken quick. I've tried many times to live trap them....they won't go in. |

So, I get to read up on getting rats. I set 9 spring snap traps. Nothing. They are wise to the Levi's. I learned that you set traps out not set to trap. Let them get comfortable with a free meal Then set the traps active. |
^^^ If you have no luck with traps....I would suggest these bars. Break a whole one up into about 8 diff chunks and place them along the edges of the attic. Doesn't take much for them to eat before they die.
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/W/...1dUDY3iNqL.jpg The red squirrels here have a plentiful supply of food from the nut trees in my yard, so bait doesn't work. They build nests in any knot hole in the trees and then chew the tree up until it rots out. There are a couple trees that when I walk past, I hear the sound of families of the small squirrels squeeling. |
First chance to use the red-dot 'live' today. It rained all morning bringing out the red squirrels.
I'll spare the details....some don't like them. The target was at least 50 feet away and 2"X4". The red dot was super easy to settle on it's spot. Perfect results! Highly recommend the scope. |
Excellent.

^^^ Thanks!
I'm not sure how good it will work with zombies....a red dot might be the wrong color. :) |
Yeah, darn zombies. they get us every time :(
Joke: I heard an intruder break into the house so I chambered a round in the .45, put the red dot on the bad guy's forehead, then let the cat do the rest. |
