Justified

The show is based on the character created by author Elmore Leonard in several books and short stories—US Marshall Deputy Raylan Givens who has his own, Wild West-style methods of upholding justice. It ran for six seasons, premiering on March 16, 2010, until April 14, 2015, and received widely positive reviews from critics. TV Guide critic Matt Roush said, “The show is grounded in Olyphant’s low-key but high-impact star-making performance, the work of a confident and cunning leading man who’s always good company.”

Anyone watching?

It has come up a few times before.

I have watched seasons 1-3. I didn't enjoy 3 quite as much as 1 and 2. I haven't watched any more.

The original 6 seasons of Justified have been out for a long time, over 10 years I believe. It was outstanding. They just revived it on Hulu. I think it's called Justified City Primeval. My wife didn't see the first one so we care going to see if she likes it. I'm happy to watch it again. It's been a few years.

I don't know how many seasons I watched of the original version, but it was very good. The Boyd Crowder (Walter Goggins) and Mags Bennett (Margo Martindale) characters were great, as was the often seen villain Robert Quarles (Neal McDonough). Lots more in the cast.

I became a fan of Tim Olyphant from Deadwood.

The new show airs on FX and also streams on Hulu. If you liked the original, you'll like the new show, too.

Eight years after he's left Kentucky, Givens is now is based in Miami, balancing life as a marshal and part-time father of a 14-year-old girl. A chance encounter on a Florida highway sends him to Detroit and he crosses paths with Clement Mansell, aka The Oklahoma Wildman, a violent sociopath who's already slipped through the fingers of Detroit's finest once and wants to do so again. —themoviedb

I think everyone wants to have a little Raylan Givens in them.

We were fans of the original series. We turned City Primevil off half way through episode 2.

This. Granted, I was only so-so about the original (Kentucky) version, but it grew on me, mainly because of the excellent supporting cast/characters. Not really seeing that, but I'll give another couple of episode a try.

Halm and kolo, if you're still around, what was it that caused you to drop out halfway through episode 2? I have suspicions... just wondering.

The scene with the daughter out and about when told to stay on the hotel grounds. I could just see a formulaic plot around having to go rescue her. BTDT with too many other shows.
