Streetside Classics - Experience?

I bought a 95 MB E320 cabriolet on BAT last year. Car is near perfect and has been excellent. We are moving out of state in May (Fairhope, AL) and I’m trying to decide if I should keep it and drive it there (about 6 hours), have it shipped or sell it on consignment via Streetside. Their Atlanta facility is only about 20 miles from our current home.

Has anyone bought or sold through them? Or know anyone who has? Thoughts?

I had a 911 with them at the Charlotte facility for about 9 months back in 2016. I think I paid a detailing fee when I dropped it off. THat was a little annoying as the car was clean. They are heavily focused on American muscle at that facility and the car ultimately did not sell. Ended up being fairly cheap car storage.

Actually...that’s another thought. Not sure what % they take as their fee (if it sells) but if it didn’t sell after some time, it would be easy to have it shipped a few months after the move and unpacking/settling done. But I have to say, I do like the car. Working from home it’s been my DD and I’ve only put about 1500 miles on since last summer.

Personally, I would keep the car and drive it down to Fairhope, it isn't a bad drive, all interstate from Atlanta to Montgomery on I-85, then take I-65 down to the Hwy 225 exit. That car will fit in nicely in Fairhope and would be very nice to drive around in down there enjoying the sunshine and a scenic roads with the top down, but that's just me.

I will be vacationing in Ft Morgan the last week of June, might drag the Hobie Cat down and do a little sailing.

Was down there the last couple days…drove back yesterday (in wife’s Odyssey)…right past Opelika. I agree that it would be a good car in that environment. Most likely will take your advice.

If you decide to stop on your way to the beach, happy to meet for a beer or three.
