MGA pricing?
Looking to see my oddball '57MGA that has been extensively modified to look the part of a vintage race car albeit with some creature comforts like carpet and nice seats.
No idea how to price such a thing and I see little to compare it to on facebook/BAT etc. Any idea how to price such a beast? ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Looks like a perfect candidate for Bring-a-Trailer.

Was certainly considering BAT but wanted to set a reasonable reserve and by extension wanted to get a handle on pricing from my know-it-all pelican brethren.
I may toss out a minimal number I’m ok with selling at and see if BAT agrees. This will be a first for me for sure Vin Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

If the car was unmodified/clean/nice, what would it be worth?

GORGEOUS! That car is pure pornography.
I have a buddy with (possibly) the worlds nicest twin-cam. He would have an opinion. Message me if you want me to reach out to him. Also, any interest in trading for an 01 Boxster S? Damn. What a beaut! |

That classic.com website is awesome! I had no idea it existed but found it remarkably interesting and insightful.

Call Jay Leno's production company and offer to share the car. Might take a few months but all the right people will see it. Then advertise it in Hemmings.
Selling a car like that takes strategy unless you're just gonna dump it. In that case. put 20k on it and be done. |

Accepted by BAT, so I’m going to roll the dice and see what happens.
Now on to trying to take some decent photos. A photographer I am not, but copying some BAT examples works ok. ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I suspect you’ll do very well on BAT. I’ve seen many examples of “more money than brains” there.

It's very interesting to see how little it sometimes takes to turn a nice car into a real head turner:
A teardrop headrest, some aluminum-colored Dunlop-looking wheels, (I can't tell if they're real Dunlops or not. I don't have the discerning eye) a cut down windshield, BRG paint with a camel interior...and Boom! Ready for the Mulsanne Straight! Nice looking car. GLWTA. edit. Didn't notice the hood louvers until just now. This is a very tasteful car.
