Looking for a stout 3/8" ratchet?

If I ever need to replace my old USA made Craftsman...probably.

I use my ratchet to get it snug, and then go an impact if it has to get a lot of torque, or just a longer non ratchet wrench. I have them from two feet and three feet long. I have never tried to use a ratchet with a lot of force, it is just stupid. Like using a carpenters claw hammer when a 2 pound or 4 pound sledge is needed. I hate to see any tool abused.

I just broke a 1/2 breaker bar (pun not considered), a 1/2 extension, and some other beefy stuff by hand.

I get it. Tools get abused. I was shocked with the breaker bar. It just snapped. I did have a 2'++ cheater pipe on it but seriously. It should have withstood that. |

People love watching tools (especially expensive tools) get tested to destruction in a heads-up competition. People are funny that way. (I'm one of those people.)
