LaGrange has been mentioned.
I think we need a separate thread, "What is your favorite Pop song, or what is your favorite Soft Rock song, because some of these choices aren't really rock and roll. |
I think it’s impossible to list just one. I could easily list 50.

I want to say Baker Street, but that would be more of a soft rock thread. A good song for vinyl and a marantz |
Would have to be something from the 1950s
Chuck, Jerry Lee, Little Richard, someone like that, don't know how you pick one song |

So incredibly good. |
This thread will/should never end.....

Radar Love?
Another great song that is a certain "go faster" song, and great rock and roll. |

Been kicking around this question for a day and the best answer I can give is
THERE IS NO ONE BEST SONG. There are so many awesome ones that are best in their time, style, or best memories it brings me. |

Best rock and roll single?
That pretty much eliminates the live version so I'll go with this one: <iframe width="900" height="506" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RCN6eRVav5k" title="Rock and Roll (Remaster)" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
the Foo fighters gave it a pretty good try,
but it breaks my heart when I hear someone trying to imitate Bonham. The old guys playing guitar and bass weren't bad though <iframe width="900" height="506" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/SbNVIPAABgw" title="Foo Fighters - Rock And Roll (Live At Wembley Stadium, 2008)" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
But if we can go back that far, ...
<iframe width="900" height="506" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/W1LsRShUPtY" title="Old Time Rock & Roll" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
But if we have time to kill
<iframe width="900" height="506" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/EFMD7Usflbg" title="Kiss - Rock And Roll All Nite (From Kiss eXposed)" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
I really like this thread
<iframe width="666" height="506" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wMsazR6Tnf8" title="Joan Jett - I Love Rock 'N Roll (Official Video)" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> PS I was gonna do rock and roll part 1 and 2 from gary glitter, but he's a total perv so no. |
