I did IFly today…
My 9 year old daughter went to a friends birthday party about a month ago at the IFly. She really enjoyed it. They had a deal advertised on Facebook so we signed up our family of 4 and went today.
I don’t know how that place makes money. The wind is 80-120 mph depending on how fat you are… the fans are mounted up top and the wind is circulated back around to the bottom so it gets that benefit. It was a neat experience, we don’t need to do it again. I’m glad I did it and it was fun. |

My daughter… she’s practically a pro at this now. |
"The wind is 80-120 mph depending on how fat you are…" LOL

I've done it several times. Love it!

Everytime unclebilly posts pics of his young "world conquerer" it makes me smile :). Gotta go find my IDuck ... IFly :D??? |
I did it once several years ago in Pigeon Forge. It was fun but by the time you get the hang of it, it is over. It would be a blast to have unlimited time in it. The one I was in uses an old DC3 prop to generate the air flow.

I've seen those and thought they would be a ton of fun. I went sky-diving once. The freefall portion of the jump was LOUD. I thought at the time that a full helmet, possibly with ear plugs would be a good thing. If you're thinking "how loud could that be?" Imagine sticking your head out of the window of a car going 120mph.

Would suck if they had a power failure. lol

I’ve done it a couple times and think it’s a blast (no pun intended). I had one instructor show me if you just tilt your hands a little it rotates you, it’s amazing how subtle moves can make you move around.
I’d rather do this than the real thing ;) |
Would be nice if it were 5-10 mins.
Or enough time to be sick of it afterwards. For a while. With go-karts your neck feels like it went through a wrestling match. https://www.iflyworld.com/discover/faq/ The iFLY experience lasts approximately an hour and 45 minutes in total. Each flight within the wind tunnel lasts 60 seconds. |

But the ability to "fly" without having to deal with some of the other stuff would be amazing. Here it is at the extreme end |
I did it once. Nothing fancy as I didn't want to get into a free fall LOL but just gliding there going left and right, forward and back, was fun.
