Got *****ed at and my pic taken on the way doen the hill just now

Some glue was needed so I decided to fired up the old 930 and get my fat azz over to ACE 8 miles away to get her warmed up. On my way down, around the hair pin, some old lady and her husband was walking up the hill in the middle of the street with her eye balls glued to her phone, her husband was about 10' behind. There's no sidewalk. I have BB and Borla mufflers, typical old fashion built. Its a bit loud and she jumps and yells, "Slow down, its loud. You scaring me". Car was in 1st gear, going down hill at no more then 6-8 mph. She refuses to move, continues to yell in the middle of the road. I had enough so I told her, "Step aside and get off the road. I was not speeding and get off the phone and pay attention to traffic". Husband is now upset and said to not talk to his wife that way. Both their phones are out taking my pic looking for a lic plate that's not on my front bumper. He goes around and takes pic from the back. I shook my head and drove off. I bet Iwill be famous again in the Next Door app just like I didn't have my mask on while I walked to my truck during covid with no others around for blocks.

These people are old what the fook are they doing taking pic of others while they get into an argument? What are they, 18. Only young and dumb sihts take photos of everything that's unimportant.

I am just so tired of people telling others what to do, what to buy and how to behavior base on their opinion.
Sorry, had to get that off my chest.

Do be careful.

Arseholes like this go to the police, and because you were driving a Porsche means you were going fast and the cops will side with the old people.

I've had this before and it cost me quite a lot of money and time defending myself in court. I should have sued the people who complained and the cop who took the case on.

I hear ya. Any dumb case that would never fly 10 years ago but it may just be justifiable in today's court. How sad is this? I read somewhere an Australian comedian has a court trial because someone posted or bootlegged his performance on u tube. Some random person watched it and decided to file a dumb law suit.

You can always tell the entitled elites.

a) on their phones

b) walking in the middle of the roadways - or aisles as it pertains to stores

c) whine like little wusses when triggered

d) run and "tell the teacher"

Fork 'em!

Yes, I would report them blocking the road and impeding traffic to the police.
And I would have been taking their pictures too.

I don't think any cops in the US would give you a ticket base on the complaint of one person, especially these days when there are so many insane Karens out there. You can't prosecute for speeding without some way to say by how much.

I used to live in a neighborhood and got beyotched at by people going at our under the speed limit because the car sounded fast. Then I'd have the same folks whoosh past my house in their virtually silent Caddy or Toyota.

Make sure to give the cops a detailed report of your 'lengthy conversation' with them as you had your high speed encounter.

I'd also mention the antique car doesn't have ABS or a modern muffler, the muffler of which, probably startled her as she was standing in the road. If you had to hit your brakes due to excessive speed claimed, there probably would have been some honest to goodness skid marks (which there are not).

They definitely should've been at the side of the road and not sucked into a phone. I'll bet the old dude was shaking like a washing machine wagging his finger. Ugh, doesn't matter the age, ya just can't fix stoopid!!!

The husband knew his wife was wrong for walking in the middle of the road so he kept his lip shut until I tole her to get off the road and the phone. He's then gets a fit. How do people get like this?

I am not worry about them reporting me to the police as there are no more then 40-50 cars that go up or down the canyon daily.

I am thinking they are in their early 60s? I think just can't admit their wrong doing. We are in a blaming society. Young kids, I understand but older folks?

I had an entitled guy from Texas at the boat ramp at the river near my house tell me I couldn’t use the boat ramp for a few minutes to test run my jet boat. I told him to wait a couple minutes and I’d be gone. He threatened to call the cops and I told him to go ahead.

While he was complaining to the cop on speaker phone, I walked up and said, don’t forget to tell the police about the pistol in your glove box that you threatened to shoot me with 5 minutes ago…

The cop called me 10 minutes later and said that he explained to our southern friend that the launch ramps in Alberta are first come, first serve and there is no time limits or designated use.

I needed to run my boat up to temp before taking it out on the lake with my family the next day after replacing a bunch of cooling hoses (it’s closed loop cooling). It was less than 10 minutes. The rice is a lot closer than the lake.

My point, it’s his word against yours. If they are going to make up stories, show them up at their game.

Gimme a call next time you go out for glue Look171, I’ll join ya.

I’ve got a ‘75 smog exempt noise maker, we’ll drive ’em nuts.

I doubt the LEOs will do anything. In Glendale they may send a Public Service Officer to talk to the registered owner. If the jurisdiction is LA I highly doubt LAPD will do anything. They have their hands full already.

We are in America. Police can do absolutely nothing wrt a speeding ticket unless they witness the offense. Los Angeles is absolutely over run with performance cars running loud pipes and doing burnouts, donuts, etc. The police do not have anywhere near the manpower to deal with serious traffic offenses, look171 wasn't even breaking the law. There will be no courts or lawyers, money spent, etc.

The word of some Karen that some particular car was speeding would get nowhere here. I once had someone like that scream at me to slow down on a street. I wasn't speeding but I stopped and asked them what they were saying anyway. They said, "slow down!"

I answered, "How can I slow down? I'm stopped."

Bring it, I will take out my 72 with straight pipes connected to a set of megaphones. It doesn't see much daylight nowadays. Its a public disturbance.

What pipes are on it?

Did she actually say, "YOU scaring me" and not "YOU'RE scaring me"?

If so, you should have said, "You have horrible syntax," and then hit the gas and depart loudly and rapidly without further comment.

Life is tough when you get old. Simply getting out of the house for a walk can be a battle. Kill them with kindness. You could have offered them a lift where they were going or asked if they want any help, or any groceries fetching. If they accept the lift, maybe do a couple of doughnuts and drift it round all the bends on the way.

Jesus Christ, he said that they were in their early 60s, not 90s. I'm in my early 60s and still ski my ass off, shovel tons of snow in the mountains and ***** slap punks when needed. What in the hell is wrong with some of you?
