I lived in Boulder City for a year. No gambling in BC from the old dam construction days. In fact they had a fence around the town with a curfew to return. Stayed no gambling but the fence is long gone, of course. They would like to have one, I can say that. You don't go wandering into BC on foot or you'll be driven by the cops to the other side on city limits and aidios.

But we'd go into Vegas for cheap beer and food. The locals knew where to go. I saved enough money right there to lose 10 bucks and not feel bad about it. The Texas Hold'em machine was fun but it was just like any other video game, drop a quarter in and play. You might get a free play now and then.

I hated the big casinos. Once you get away from all that it can be a fun place. But what were they saying about HI in another thread? Don't leave anything that could be stolen? Even on a construction job site with gates, you couldn't leave a room w/o packing your tools.

I like to play some poker with friends once in a while, keeps things fun without getting out of hand. Not into casinos though, too easy to lose track.
