Importing Car From Europe?

Has anyone here imported a car from Europe?

I’ve been looking into it, and so far have learned
- No DOT or EPA if vehicle over 25 y/o
- Vermont will title and register an imported antique (1990s ok) with just a bill of sale
- $5K to have a car transported from W Europe to West Coast

Mildly interested in a W460 or W461 1980s/90s G-Wagen.

I just imported a car from Switzerland and it was a pretty effortless affair (just a bit time consuming). When I started the process in January, shipping prices were astounding but by the time we said "go", prices had reduced to a much more tolerable level.

Highly recommend WCS and can provide you with a specific contact if you send a PM.

I use wallenius wilhelmsen when shipping cars from Japan to California. Their route is to Europe after America.

5k doesn't sound that bad. Are you going to informally import it yourself?
