All fun and games until you are going so fast, centrifugal force causes the weight of the brass to bend the valve stem until it goes flying off!

I also wondered about that...when buying new tires, I purposely requested the shortest possible valve stems for just that reason. Actually tho, I decided to pass because of the theft factor.

I remember back when those simple chrome nut valve caps came out back in the 80s. You couldn't keep them on your car for two days without them being absconded.
