Washing britches by hand

Do you pre-soak them....or wash them all at once?
If you wash them all at once...do you use 'spray and wash'??

Does anyone still separate the whites from the colored clothes anymore?

There is a name for those who do.

Britches is a word I don't think I have ever said in a sentence out loud.

According to the Cambridge Dictionary Britches are: trousers, especially those that do not cover the whole of the leg. Also called Breeches.

I am wearing shorts right now, so I guess they would qualify in that definition but they are no where close to my knees in length.

As a kid in Hawaii in the 1960s my mom bought my brother and I a matching pair of "beach comber" trousers, one red leg, and one blue leg. They only came to the calf area. I hated them and thought they were ugly and stupid and only wore them when I had to. I was really happy when I outgrew them.

So to answer the OP, nope I never wash my britches as I don't own any, and will never be wearing any. Just shorts that are several inches above the knee.

When standing in line...if I notice everyone giving me a 'covid' distance...it's time to wash the britches.

Hey...I got one star for dirty laundry.

I guess two or more would be unlikely.

I'll bump it to a five.
