An entitled Vegan!

Not judging all vegans but sure as heck judging this one.
Quote:

An Australian vegan has had enough of their neighbor's meat-cooking ways, penning a scathing letter to the house next door after the smell of a backyard BBQ apparently made the vegan feel sick.

"Enough is enough," read a letter from the vegan, who identified herself as Sarah, to her BBQ-hosting neighbor, which was shared with the Facebook page "Hey Perth."

The letter came after Sarah's neighbor, identified as Kylie, hosted a backyard BBQ gathering with friends to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III. The smell of meat apparently infuriated Sarah, who had previously written a letter to Kylie asking her to close her kitchen window while cooking meat for dinner.

Fire up the smoker for a long brisket cook!
While the fire is going
The beers are flowing....

Sarah, that simply cannot be right.

There was a guy who set up a barbeque next to a bunch of these people and cooked hot dogs

Vegan...old Cherokee word. Loose translation: Bad hunter.

Some people use their personal values to decide
what they should and shouldn't do.

And some people use their personal values to decide
what EVERYONE ELSE should and shouldn't do.

They are bad.
I would tell them to stop breathing for good,
but it's not my place ;)

There's only one thing you can do with a neighbor like this: Ignore.
They want what they want and that's all that matters to them.

Much like the animal welfare groups they will not negotiate or compromise.

black73 05-12-2023 01:58 AM

That is almost as absurd as you being upset about it and running here to post!

You know, those plant based burgers look and smell just like the real thing. I can’t comment on taste but I would just say, ‘nah, it’s beyond beef. Want some?’…

I'd bet they'd make you fart like a Trooper.

Don't bet too much money.
I tried them and they did not suck at all. And no farting. :)
Insect burgers, also good.
Meat still tastes better though IMO.

^^^^ Yep! Buy a pack of cheap azz hot dogs too... every hour or so yell "INCOMING!" and toss a raw wienie over yer fence :D

You can cut the wienie into half-inch pieces too.... even more ammo ;)

if a person is against eating meat..... why make things that taste like meat...... why eat artificial things made to taste like something that can be had easily and is real

Norm K 05-12-2023 04:11 AM

One of my sons used to be fond of saying "If god didn't want us to eat animals he wouldn't made them out of meat".

An American tourist to Cape Town did exactly that a few months ago. Created such a fracas that the police was called, and it made national news.

Per four-ounce uncooked Beyond Burger patty, you’ll get:

Calories: 270
Fat: 20 g (6 g saturated fat)
Sodium: 380 mg
Carbohydrates: 5 g
Fiber: 3 g
Sugars: 0 g
Protein: 20 g
As for other highlights, the Beyond Burger packs in 30 percent of your daily iron quota and an impressive amount of phosphorus (which is found in your bones and teeth), along with some vitamin C.

Compare that to four ounces of raw beef (80 percent lean):

Calories: 287
Fat: 23 g (9 g saturated fat)
Sodium: 75 mg
Carbohydrates: 0 g
Fiber: 0 g
Sugars: 0 g
Protein: 19 g

I haven't eaten meat, fish or chicken since '85 and I don't care about BBQ smell. It smells good, much better than the smoke from the griddle at the cheap burger place. But I get the complaint. I hate the smell of marijuana. And it floats in the air like a fart in a closet.

I just start a bonfire and throw on some painted wood. And then go inside.

gchappel 05-12-2023 08:47 AM

I only eat plant based products.
I just run the plants through a wonderful machine called a cow.
If you don't want to eat meat, why make stuff that tastes like meat??
I actually believe eating meat keeps millions of cows alive. If there was no market for cow based products, no farmers would raise cows. Cows would be an endangered species in the wild.

Why can people not understand the concept "live and let live?"

Life is so much better when you're not hung up on what everyone else is doing wrong and trying to force them to live like you.
