Pics of the forms???
Are they putting any rebar in it?
I wonder if they'll start at the bottom of the hill and work their way up or vice versa.

No pics of the forms ........... it's raining 😳 . They have to start at the top and work their way down . The RV pad and the 3 pads behind the house get poured first . Then the driveway .

Concrete will have fiberglass additive and wire mesh for all of it . Hopefully the weather plays nice for tomorrow and Saturday . After that should be OK.

Before they pour, you may want to reach out to Rusty Heap. He needs to help a friend out and I think you could help

We have concrete ! The day started rough , crew got here at 10:00 to cut up reinforcing wire to support the pour starting at noon . Yeah right ........... first concrete truck showed up at 3:00 !!!!! . But 7 trucks later each containing 9 yards of concrete it is done . The crew left last night at 11:15 . They worked hard and were very good at what they do . I am very happy with the results and so is Sue ( wife ) so life is good . We will stay off it for 10 days as instructed and be good to go . Pics for your viewing pleasure

Do you know if they applied a curing agent to the finished concrete? Usually after finishing, a spray on cure is applied, or the concrete may be covered with white or opaque plastic sheeting.. Duration of cure is typically 7 days. Some bridge decks require continuous wetting for 7 days

If no curing agent was applied, spray the finished concrete down with water a few times a day, or set up a few sprinklers to keep the concrete wet

Nothing was sprayed on after brushing . I plan to water a few times today and call it done.

I have more pics coming but I had to email to myself to resize and they are currently in queue . Our rural internet is basically 2 Dixie cups and a string . Hang in there 😁

Making the assumption you're on Windows:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/powertoys/image-resizer

Been using the early version for years now and it works without drama.

I can't wait to see the upper portion of the pour.
Driveway looks great, a lot like the one my brother had poured at his old place.

I have an image resizing software on my laptop . But I took the pics on my phone . So I had to email to myself so I can use the laptop to resize .

My additional pics are somewhere in Windstream hell . They will eventually show up .

We have rural DSL and that's all that is available at the moment . Windstream ran fiber cables about a month ago on our street . We are scheduled for that service to be available March of next year . Looking forward to it . My pics are still " in que " in my outbox . The joys of rural life 😋

I know those are the official recommendations but you'd be surprised at all the flatwork down around here that gets neglected and turns out great. And I remember one concrete contractor that parked a smaller truck on the drive on the 3rd day. Didn't hurt it. He must have been sure of his base prep and batch mix.

I agree with Milt . Plenty of concrete driveways and pads that get poured and that's it . I watered everything today a couple of times . I am now done . Here are two additional pics that arrived via snail email .

I'm aware of that, I see it all the time.

A little aftercare could extend the life of your investment, and it could be fairly hands off.. setting up some sprinklers, etc.. I'm not sure of the environmental condition in that area of Georgia, but if its a fairly humid locale, there is less of a worry.

I'm used to best practices after a long career involved with FHWA/DOT jobs..
