				Gun problem, fixed it!

I have a Sig P322 pistol that was failing to fire due to light hammer strikes. After giving it some thought, I cut off the end of an appropriate size drill bit and made a small spacer to increase the hammer spring pressure. After several days, I finally got a chance to take it to the range and run several different types of 22LR ammo thru it. Out of about 100 rds, I had one failure to fire and I believe that was due to a bad round. The trigger pull was not affected and is still nice and crisp. I probably could have gotten a similar result by slightly stretching the spring but that would have been a permanent change, requiring a new spring if it didn't work.

I had to modify and elftmann trigger to get it to work on the last round in a mag. The mag bolt catch was interfering with the strike on the last round.

I did some redneck modifications, but for the $$$ I paid for the trigger, I didn't need to be a gunsmith. That said, I'm 'hoping' my modifications worked. I'm at the curmudgeon point in my life where I feel when I've paid top dollar for something, I don't need to use my own personal "mr. fix it" jedi powers to make something work as 'they'- (specifically the company elftmann) advertised. I am glad your mod worked though~
