Tourist mini sub missing off titanic

Looks like a tourist mini sub has been lost or no communication at the Titanic. $250K per person to visit.

The Coast Guard is working on it.

Hoping for the best for everyone.

Wow...odds of a rescue?

URY914 06-19-2023 10:33 AM

Call Dirk Pitt. He'll get 'em out.

berettafan 06-19-2023 10:38 AM

oh man what a terrible way to go.

OMG, that's an expensive way to die.

Is Foss Gly behind this?

Looks like they are sustainable for another 72 hours.
Imagine watching the timer.

Speaking of underperforming movies that aren't all that bad if you go in with low expectations- 'Underwater' with the twilight chick is worth checking out.

Scott Douglas 06-19-2023 10:52 AM

Yeah, if the sub didn't implode they have a few more hours to go.

I wonder if they had to sign a release before they left.

Full refund? Rain check? Maybe a second trip, half-off?

$250k, to be locked in a sardine can near the Titanic, to see the wreck on a video screen? No Thanks.

Was it this company's first passenger trip?

The Synergizer 06-19-2023 11:22 AM

Well that's just stupid!
Is that the interior of the sub? No windows? Just a video feed?
Maybe it's all fake. Perhaps locked in a warehouse somewhere.

And why is there a gas station attendant sitting on the right?

LEAKYSEALS951 06-19-2023 11:26 AM

No thanks.

How do they actually know they're going to Titanic if they're watching everything on a screen? Lower them into a swimming pool and play clips from the movie for them. :)

Pressure at Titanic depth is only about 384 atmospheres.

dad911 06-19-2023 03:57 PM

Looks like there is a viewing dome on the front.

schwarz633 06-19-2023 04:02 PM

Can one assume that something like that is untethered?

For about 1/5th the cost, you used to be able to go to the limits of space in a Mig-25 Foxbat pulling G's all the way.

That's the way I want to go.
Or in my sleep. Like my grandpa the Alps bus driver. Not like all his passengers screaming to get out.
