Like I wrote, some of the websites I found were cray cray. That is why I posted.
This one seems reasonable but I am not interested in parceling them out. https://www.familyminded.com/s/valuable-vhs-tapes-worth-something-465e6b8ca0944a20

There are a few that sell for decent money, as you have found out. Probably worth spending 15 minutes to see if you have any of those lottery tickets in your stash.
Beyond that, you won’t get squat for them, unless they are a niche type thing, and even then, probably less than five bucks a copy. I recently sold 30 or 40 auto racing tapes from the 80s and 90s and got a couple hundred bucks out of the deal. Porno tapes may have some value, I have no idea about that. |

Sailors like the VHS tape to use as wind indicators, tied to front and side stays. VHS is easy to see, cassette tapes work well for this also.
Just donate them to a thrift store. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I could see that being a factor.

I downloaded a copy of Song of the South last year. I was curious. I knew that I had heard of it and had probably seen it as a kid, but i couldn't remember anything from it. I downloaded it and watched it. I thought the way that they handled the subject matter was respectful and as positive as possible.
It's a good copy and 1gb. The missus and I watch some old movies, often going back to but not usually including silent. It's great when they can be remastered to a good quality.
