Heading to the Pig Trail in AR
Like the title says I'm planning a trip to AR to drive the Pig trail scienic byway this fall. We're planning on staying in Fayetteville at the Inn at Carnall Hall. I have a few ideas like visiting the Natural Dam and Dripping Springs in OK and War Eagle. But I'm looking for other must see and do's as well as good dining suggestions. TIA...

Make sure to put one of your stops in Eureka Springs. We go there for Thanksgiving every year.

We'll be going right through there on our way there. I'll have to plan on spending a little more time there instead of just driving through..

Google the Low Gap Cafe. Incredible food. It looks like an old county place that I would never stop at. Get there early. Like shortly after 11 am. They fill up fast.
The cook is a guy that worked at many high end places in big cities. He said screw the big city live, and moved back to Arkansas. It is amazing place for the choice of meals. All wonderful.

+1 on Low Gap Cafe... Also just a few miles off HWY 23 on 215 is the Oark General Store which is a great lunch destination. I think they are still doing a bit of road construction on the south end 0f the Pig Trail near Ozark. But as far as I know the rest is clear.
Crystal Bridges Art Museum in Bentonville is nice. Mt Magazine has a great Lodge and restaurant and the road down the south side is scenic and a hoot to play in the corners. HWYs 21. 27 and 7 are also much fun. HWY 123 from Pelsor on HWY 7, down to Clarksville is also a scenic fun road. Have fun.

That looks really cool. I wish I would be able to check that out. But unfortunately I'll be there after that.
