Going to Constantinople, what to do?
Is it safe in Turkey? How's the buying power of the dollar?

$1 to 27.6 lira last I checked.
Consider that it was 1:4 in February of 2019 when I first visited? Wow. You will be stupid wealthy. Enjoy. |

Many great things about visiting Turkey. The exchange rate is off the chart good in your favor. The food is excellent. Site seeing around Istanbul is plentiful. If you have time/etc. try visiting Cappadocia. I suggest visiting when the weather is cooler than right now.

Turkey manufactures many items and they are typically of good or excellent quality.
At this point almost anything you need will be very much cheaper in Turkey right now. E.g. clothes, kitchen wear, plates/glasses/etc. Also, they expect you to bargain at least somewhat or it might be considered a bit rude.
