What Do You Put In Your Coffee?

For those of you who drink coffee, what do you put into it?
Normally, I drink it black, however I do add the following into coffee just to change up the pace.

As a few of these ingredients may seem gross, they are actually pretty good! (Mayonnaise actually is better than you would think...). I have tried using several at the same time - never disappointed.

- Dark Chocolate powder
- Cinnamon
- Ginger
- Sugar
- Simple Syrup
- Heavy Cream
- Whole Milk
- Butter
- Mayonnaise
- Whiskey
- Bourbon
- Scotch
- Snicker Bar
- Hot Coco Powder
- Hershey Kisses

Anything else?

1/2 oz of real cream.

Water?

I drink my coffee black. No additives needed or wanted. I would likely puke if I was served coffee with mayonnaise in it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo.../coffeecup.gif

If the coffee is decent, it doesn't need anything. If it isn't, I don't need it.

Best

Honey

Honey and milk or cream. These days it’s decaf and I’m not used to it yet.

Anyone know of a good decaf coffee?

dad911 08-09-2023 08:52 AM

Occasionally (holidays) a shot of Sambucca. Otherwise nothing.

Usually I drink my coffee black. Sometimes a bit of sugar. Occasionally (rarely) a small bit of cheap bourbon.

I miss the days when stuff like this was okay in the movies.

This plus a packet of stevia.

Black, unless it is for dessert. Then I use heavy cream and either sugar in the raw or flavored syrups that use sugar. No HFCS.

Paul T 08-09-2023 09:54 AM

Nothing, always black. Unless perhaps it’s a winter evening, then maybe a little Jameson.

2-3 single pour espressos each morning. Best addition is about 1/2 teaspoon cream.

stevej37 08-09-2023 10:18 AM

I add this or the Butter Toffee flavor every morning. Zero sugar.

I can honestly say. I have never even tried coffee with anything in it. No sugar, booze, cream or any flavoring. I want a cup of coffee, not a glass of chocolate milk, or a milkshake with foam and other crap in it. If the only coffee available is something like Starbucks, or some other nasty tasting burned coffee, I will just drink water.

Zeke 08-09-2023 02:16 PM

Glen, tell us how you feel about coffee. Don't be so vague.

Otter74 08-09-2023 02:23 PM

cafe con leche made with an espresso shot every morning. If I have especially good beans I'll have it black (with a little bit of sugar) sometimes, but I have to be careful to only drink it black with a full meal. My body isn't very happy about all the caffeine otherwise. I think the fat in the milk helps slow the metabolism of the caffeine. Plus I just like it.

I did see yesterday on IG an interesting variation on a Negroni, where you use a Bialetti and brew a shot through Campari instead of water, then proceed with the Negroni.

To tell the truth, I've never been able to taste the flavor of coffee very much. When I was in high school & would go with buddies to a restaurant, they would drink coffee & I would drink hot chocolate. I drink one mug of coffee in the mornings mostly to keep my wife company while watching the morning news. I can taste the coffee flavor if I get one of those Starbucks drinks but haven't had one in years. To me, it's just something warm to drink in the morning, & I don't think of it after that. I've actually always wondered what the attraction of coffee was.
