Oct 14th 2023 "Ring of Fire" Eclipse
This should be fun. Then there will be a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024, then a 20 year lull in the contiguous United States. A total eclipse is wicked if you're in the area of totality. Recommended!

Our city is supposed to be right in line for the 2024 event. The mayor told me that they are expecting thousands of visitors here for the event. They are putting traffic plans in place, and adding a bunch of police and such to help direct traffic with all the visitors. All the Hotels and Air B&B's are booked.

Wow. Neither of the 2 passes directly over my home, but both are REALLY close. We'll probably drive a bit to get to totality for both.

Location: Placerville, CA.... You know, the only place on Highway 50 between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe the you find signal lights. Above the fog most of the time and I can see the stars of the Milky Way 8 out of 10 nights. Kinda cool.....
