Female to female coax connector help

Hey guys I have searched the net and can't find what I need . I am looking for a 3 " long coax connector to go through the wall of an RV . The longest I have been able to find is 1.75 " .

I want to permanently install the connector so I can run a cable from an antenna to the connector and then a cable on the inside of the RV to the TV.

Does anyone know if 3 " long connectors exist ? If they do can you provide a link ? Standard RG cable . Any help appreciated .

Why not simply run a few inches of cable between two coax wall plates?

Yep, make one. You can get everything that you need at HD or Lowes or likely any number of places.

Search 75 ohm F bulhead female female connector…but i doubt you’ll find anything 3” long.

I suggest you run your coax from your antenna through a hole and, as suggested above, to a wall plate inside. On the outside you would add a bracket to secure a drip loop before it enters your RV and then seal up the hole and the bracket fastener real good. Afterwards you won’t have the stress and flexing on “your” connector which would compromise the entry point.

Don't you want male to male? The antenna will have a female end, and the TV will be connected via a cable that has 2 female ends. The male/female nomenclature in this case is for the fitting housing, not the central wire sticking out.

Two wall plates. Each has male ends inside and out. Then a short cable between them. I've included some right angle fittings to help with clearance

Can you take the 1.75" and another appropriate length and join the two with a coupling? You shouldn't lose any conductance if the joints are clean and tight.

F/F to M/M to F/F adapters would be close to the length wanted but, I wouldn’t recommend it.

As has been said, either run a cable through an exterior penetration or use a bulkhead female connector with a short pigtail cable to an interior wall jack. Either way, the exterior penetration needs to be sealed. I actually prefer TNC connectors for an outdoor connection rather than F Type

EVERY cable to connector or adapter to adapter connection has signal loss.

I do have a ‘bit’ of experience with RF.

As 70Satman said, every single connector causes signal strength degradation. Sometime is it pretty much impossible to avoid, and going through a wall is one place it is just simpler to have a wall plate so that another cable can be screwed on.

I have been on cable TV for nearly 40 years. Virtually every time a technician comes over to fix or change something, they replaced the cable ends.

Back when, I once "split" the coax signals on my home stereo setup .... knowing full well about the signal loss.

Nothing two more 1K watt amps (5 total then) couldn't overcome
