25 K. Fast car , what are you buying ?
I need something to fill the void in my life .
Im putting my sc back on the road , but modern caravans walk away from that car . you can land a 997 in that range, but it will be a high mile silver automatic convertible . Im thinking early z 06 is the answer . What would tickle your fancy ?

I was going to write and recommend an RX 7 like my Dad had...1993 ish.
So I looked and got a little queasy: When I sold it it went for about a tenth of what is listed here: https://www.cars.com/shopping/mazda-rx_7/ I do like the convertible the link.

I like Z06 idea.
A cheap hoonmobile could be a Hemi charger with AWD. Never driven in one but the specs are killer. They are also practically invisible. |

Usual suspects, LT1 Camaro, older Z06, lots of Mustangs.
I'd consider an M3 though not sure what you can get for $25K. Copart might be your friend in that regard.

Then an early 90s ZR1 might be the perfect car. And they are appreciating. I really like the early beltline styling cars.

A John Cooper Works Mini would be a hoot and are still available with 3 pedals (I think). Fast as hell, corner like a slot car and will fit in a tight garage with room to spare. Just a thought...(although your BMW divorce could play into that decision).

How about an '02 Silverado with a 4.8 Vortec! Now that would tickle my fancy!

The Corvette seems to be a lot of bang for the buck . Like all cars it has some faults but none are show stoppers . Just like a Porsche the advice is buy the latest cleanest model you can .
Being a mechanic you obviously have the skill set to weed out a bad one . Drive a few , find the one that speaks to you and place your bet 😋. Keep us posted on the journey . Good luck 👍 |

I am considering selling my '10 GTS and getting a '10 Turbo or Turbo S. Probably this spring.

I got sick of the upkeep on our Cayenne . It was faaast though . I used to love walking away from EVERYTHING at stop lights . Not that many cars on the road can hang with one
No trucks or SUV's. ( well, maybe an 02 silverado with a 4.8)

I agree, but I think he was referring to his 2004 Cayenne Turbo when he said upthread that he already has a boosted Porsche. Then again, I see nothing wrong with a silver 997 tip, so we're probably on different wavelengths.
If he's really looking for the uncharted waters speed, I suggest the Jaguar F-type, Works MINI or Fiat 500 Abarth. Or to really go rogue - Tesla Model S, which should offer a fast, completely new, driving experience.

can get a mint condition couple year old ND2 miata in that range as well, fast might be a stretch but certainly not slow. A pleasure to drive as a sports car and won't need any real maintenance.
